All About Mrs. Snell
Welcome students and parents, I am thrilled to be apart of your lives this
school year. This is my first year on campus at Elm Grove. I recently moved
from Mesquite ISD in Mesquite, TX where I taught fourth grade for 2 years.
Before that I spent a year with Hallsville ISD. I can't wait to continue
teaching 4th grade. I love this age group and can promise we will have an
amazingly fun year! I graduated from East Texas Baptist University with my
Bachelor's Degree in Education with a specialization in English Language
Arts. I recently graduated (this August) with my Master's Degree in Education
Administration. I love learning and teaching kids to do the same. I truly
believe as an educator it is equally important for me to continue my
education each year. It is my promise that we will be learning together as
much as we can this upcoming year.
I married my high school sweetheart this past summer. We are enjoying the
life of newlyweds. I thought June 13 would be the greatest day of my life,
but the reality is everyday since then has been the greatest. We bought our
first house and have enjoyed making it our home this summer. We have two dogs: Lexi and Dignan....but we are looking forward to starting a family in it in the future. I also have an awesome family back in Cleveland, TX. My mother is my role model. She has been a 4th
grade teacher for 25 years, she is amazing! My father is a pastor at a medium sized church in their community. My brother, sister-n-law, and nephew, Noah are very special in my life. You will see little Noah around my room throughout the year, he is super cute! It is hard being so far away from them all, but it also makes me value every phone call and visit.
My husband, family, students, and co-workers make me a very blessed person
and teacher! I look forward to serving you this year!
